Sediment Control

The control of sediment from job sites is a requirement is most jurisdictions. Effective sediment control requires the right materials as well as the correct use of those materials. Layfield has a number of sediment control products available to help you control inadvertent silt release from your job site.

Our featured products are silt fences, silt bags, and catch basin sediment traps. Layfield makes silt fence in wood stake and wire back styles. We adapt these silt fences to suit regional requirements matching stake spacing, fabric weight, and wire support requirements to the local codes. Silt bags are used to prevent silt from leaving the job site when water is pumped. Catch basin sediment traps help prevent silts from clogging catch basins and storm drains. If you need to control sediment in water then you should also look at our turbidity barrier and Aqua Dam products.

"Thank you for working on my quote over the weekend, that kind of service is rare these days." Matt, BC Logging Company
