Soil Drainage

Preventing the loss of soil fines while moving water has been a key use of geotextiles since their introduction. Geotextiles are used to wrap drainage piping and to separate soils of differing characteristics. Layfield has a complete range of soil drainage and filtration geotextiles available.

Featured products for this application are our LP non-woven geotextiles. These are available in a variety of weights to suit all applications. Woven monofilament geotextiles are also available where the designer would like the unique filtration properties of a monofilament. Prefabricated drains and drainage composites add a three dimesional drainage core to a geotextile to move water efficiently.
