As Ontario faced record flooding in the early days of May, Layfield's AquaDam® flood control product seemed to make waves across Canada. CTV News in Ottawa took a close look at the AquaDam® in action protecting homes from rising floodwaters in Cumberland Ontario, and calling it "the future of fighting floods."

CTV's Michael O'Byrne interviewed Layfield's Ontario Project Manager, Mark Tymecki to talk to the benefits and advantages of using the AquaDam® over the standard sandbag method, pointing out that the AquaDam can be filled and installed in just under 45 minutes.  Canada's Public Safety Minister Ralph Goodale also paid a visit to the Cumberland AquaDam® site during the segment. Goodale later went on to state the AquaDam® "seems to be performing remarkably well...we need to look at all of those possible innovations for the future". To view the full clip - visit CTV News at
