Architectural

Architectural design is moving more and more toward LEED products and designs. Layfield has assembled a collection of products that can assist the architect in gaining LEED points in their building designs. Our products include materials that can control silt and sediment during construction, can control storm water and waste water, can help you build green roofs, can lower the run-off intensity of a site, and can reduce the need for imported fill materials in reinforcement applications.

Our feature product for architectural markets is our Geoblock permeable pavement product. Geoblock can be used to create permeable fire lanes and infrequent use parking lots with a grassed finish. The Geoblock supports the wheel loads of cars or fire trucks while protecting grass from damage. Grassed fire lanes reduce the hard surfaces in a development area and help contribute to LEED points.

"We were offered Geogrids made overseas from a small distributor, but we declined as their testing were suspect and they had no reputation in the market. We will only work with reputable suppliers like Layfield as their Geogrids perform as per recognized specifications." Kenny, Engineering & Scientific Consultant,
