Reclamation

Once a mine, or portion of a mine, is taken out of service there is often a substantial reclamation effort required. Geomembrane materials are commonly used as barriers in the final closure of waste rock, tailings and other potentially impacted mine waste materials. These final closures typically consist of a drainage layer and a vegetative layer overlying the geomembrane.Layfield Environmental Containment featured geomembrane products for mining reclamation include our Enviro Liner® 4000 and Enviro Liner® 6000HD

geomembranes in 20, 30, and 40 mil thicknesses. These geomembranes are highly flexible and can resist hazardous chemicals and withstand conditions in the exposed environment such as ultraviolet light exposure, wind damage and snow loads. Our Enviro Liner® 6000HD is fortified with an advanced UV/AO package and is ideal for long-term exposed applications. These geomembrane materials can also be used to fabricate remediation soil covers.
