Oil Sands & SAGD

Layfield has been involved in the development of oil sands facilities since the early 80's providing secondary containments, site water ponds, road construction fabrics and geogrids, tailings dam liners, sulfur block liners, and tarpaulins and enclosure systems.

Key products for oil sands markets include our High Temp series of secondary containment geomembranes. These liners are specially designed to stand up under the high temperatures that exist under heated bitumen, diluent, and gas oil tanks. Layfield has also been providing fire-retardant tarpaulin systems to oil sands plants for over 30 years.
