ULC Compliant Secondary Containment

Our flagship secondary containment material is HAZGARD 635FR which is a fire retardant material that meets ULC standards in Canada for secondary containment. The requirement for a ULC compliant liner is part of the national and provincial fire codes and can be found in Part 4 of those documents under the heading Secondary Containment.

Layfield has two materials that meet the current requirement (ULC/ORD C58.9) which is a currently in the fire code. HAZGARD 635FR is our main geomembrane material and can be used for all above ground tank farms containing flammable or combustible liquids. HAZGARD 1000 also meets the ULC requirements for above ground tank farms but can also be used with underground tanks. Both materials can be fabricated to size by Layfield and have installation services available.
