Slag and Waste Pile Cover

Piles of slag and waste often need to be covered to prevent dust from escaping a site or to prevent rain or snow from leaching hazardous chemicals from the piles. Layfield can provide permanent or temporary covers for piles of solid materials.

Over the years Layfield has supplied many covers for piles of solid materials including slag pile covers, contaminated soil piles, salt piles, and landfill permanent and interim caps. Each pile cover needs to be evaluated in terms of the required longevity of the cover, and how the cover will be held in place against wind uplift. Each cover is different so we encourage you to contact your local Layfield office to review your application.

We will only work with reputable suppliers like Layfield as their Geogrids perform as per recognized specifications." Kenny, Engineering & Scientific Consultant,
