Pergola Commons is a new commercial development built over a former golf driving range. The project was designed to be constructed in 2 phases with tenants including the Beer Store, multiple restaurants, retail and financial institutions. The first phase included 12,000 m2 of impervious surface for parking. The stormwater management plan required multiple detention areas to be constructed within this area and Atlantis Matrix Tanks were specified.
A total of 7 infiltration galleries were designed throughout the NE portion of the site where geotechnical investigations determined soils to have higher capability for infiltration. A combination of triple and double tank configurations were used to create the galleries as each location had unique constraints including building footings and utilities.
The Atlantis plates were assembled to create over 4000 tanks, and were installed on-Site in Fall 2010 and Fall 2011. Modifications to foundation walls on-Site required one gallery to be re-located. The modular nature of this system allowed for the tanks to be easily disassembled and moved to the new location.
