High Chemical Resistance

The Enviro Liner® 6000x is resistant to most inorganic chemicals as well as many organic chemicals. At Layfield, we've tested a range of different chemicals, but often some projects use unique, proprietary or mixed chemicals.

That's why the Enviro Liner® 6000x can provide you with a test container, so you are able to expose our geomembranes to your chemicals. After a period of exposure, we evaluate the geomembranes and determine the compatibility for your project.

Highly Flexible

Flexibility of geomembranes is important for installation and handling in the field. For floating covers, tank and pond liners, baffle walls, landfill caps and baffle curtains, flexibility is a must.

We’ve tested the flexibility of the 6000x series by exposing it to cyclic loading and measuring the fatigue behavior. You can read the full report in the technical specification document available for download at the bottom of the page.

Low Water Vapor Permeability

At Layfield, a question we often get is whether our geomembranes have the same speed of movement of water as clay liners do. To test this, we’ve subjected the 6000x series to ASTM F1249, the standard test method for water vapor transmission rate through plastic film and sheeting.

The permeation rate ended up being one million times lower than a typical clay liner and about ten thousand times lower than a geosynthetic clay liner.

Oil & Gas

The Enviro Liner® 6000x is adapted to and perfectly suitable for any oil and gas application. It is currently being used for frac and flowback water, brine and produced water, oilfield pit liners, tank liners, remediation liners, secondary containment of hydrocarbons and for evaporation floating covers.

 
Mining

A popular choice in the mining industry, our 6000x series is used for heap leach pads and ponds, tailings ponds, raincoat covers, dam face waterproofing and remediation liners.

 
Water & Wastewater

Both for potable and non-potable applications, the Enviro Liner® 6000x has you covered. Currently the product is used for municipal utilites, waste water treatment ponds, sewage lagoons, manure lagoons, industrial waste water, stormwater management ponds, aquaculture, irrigation canal liners and potable water installations.

 
Solid Waste Containment

Due to its excellent chemical resistance properties, the 6000x geomembranes are frequently used for hazardous waste applications, landfill caps, landfill liners, soil remediation liners and sludge dewatering.

 
Floating Covers

The 6000x series is highly flexible and UV resistant. That is why it’s a great choice for any type of floating cover. It is used for algae control, for evaporation control, to prevent waterfowl from landing, for insulated covers, for odor control and as a biogas cover.

 
Recreational

With its high life expectancy, superior UV resistance and low water vapor permeability, the Enviro Liner® 6000x is often used in decorative ponds, in golf course ponds and in surf park facilities.

Enviro Liner® 6000x is a specialized fortified polyolefin alloy that is designed for extended life in most geomembrane applications.

These fortified geomembranes are manufactured with special prime grade resins that are stabilized with advanced UV stabilizers and antioxidant additives.

It provides the geomembrane with superior physical, mechanical and endurance properties.
