Position Overview:
Layfield is seeking an enthusiastic, and customer-focused Account Manager to join our Calgary sales team. In this outside sales role, the successful candidate will utilize their customer-driven attitude to act as a consultant and provide new and unique solutions for their customers.

This position will report to the Regional Sales Manager. The position will be based out of our Calgary, Alberta office.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Actively manage and grow accounts in the assigned territory, which includes a pre-existing customer base
  • Grow market share by making regular and consistent cold calls
  • Understanding each customer’s needs and developing tailored solutions
  • Analyzing data to understand consumer behavior and increase sales
  • Utilize CRM to manage daily activities and customer information.
  • Prospecting and developing exciting business relationships based on trust and respect
  • Maintaining knowledge of current and new company products and services
  • Position requires a minimum of 20% travel outside of Calgary
Required Skills & Knowledge:
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills with your customer’s needs in mind
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Experience using a CRM would be considered an asset
Education & Experience:
  • Completion of post-secondary education in business or civil engineering
  •  3-5 years of sales experience with numerous product lines, industrial and/or construction sales
