April 2, 2014

Edmonton, Alberta.

Layfield Environmental Containment is proud to announce the launch of HAZGARD® 635 FR, a fire retardant geomembrane that meets the requirements of CAN/ULC-S668-12 Standard for Liners Used for Secondary Containment of Aboveground Flammable and Combustible Liquid Tanks. HAZGARD® 635 FR replaces our previous HAZGARD® 535 geomembrane and comes with improved fire retardants and UV/AO additives and may be used exposed when appropriate in certain applications and jurisdictions. HAZGARD® 635 FR is designed to be a robust, flexible lining material for the secondary containment of flammable and combustible liquids including; gasolines and alcohol-blended gasolines, diesels and biodiesel-blended diesels, jet fuels, oils, and lubricants.

HAZGARD® 635 FR is resistant to a wide range of chemicals including hydrocarbons, solvents, acids, bases, and salts. HAZGARD® 635 FR is a flexible geomembrane that can be pre-fabricated i.e. factory seamed into large panels and then rolled and folded before delivery to job sites. HAZGARD® 635 FR is manufactured by Layfield in 35 mil (0.89mm) thickness and it is easily identified by its red color. For more information on HAZGARD 635® FR go to
