This first pipe penetration drawing is a standard attachment for a liner to a small pipe. A sleeve of geomembrane is made to make the transition between the slope and the pipe (a pipe boot). The sleeve is then clamped to the pipe with a suitable gasket or sealant under the clamp. The body of the pipe boot is welded to the geomembrane on the slope.
This type of pipe boot is normally used for pipes that do not require a thrust block for support.
