Product Description

Layfield's Gabions are a double twisted wire mesh structure.

The structures are divided into cells, using internal mesh diaphragms to separate the cells. Gabions are constructed next to each other and attached to build larger systems lengthwise, vertically, or deep. As gabions get formed and set in place, they are filled with large granular stones to provide structural integrity and a base for another basket or mattress to be installed on top.

Gabion mattress is a double twisted wire mesh structure that typically is 1m in width and can be obtained in various lengths up to 30m. The structures are divided into cells, each being 1m wide, using internal mesh diaphragms to separate the cells.

Gabion basket is a double twisted wire mesh structure which typically is 1m in width and can be obtained in various lengths up to 4m. The structures are divided into cells, each being 1m wide, using internal mesh diaphragms to separate the cells.
