Geosynthetics for Soil Reinforcement

Building roads and embankments on soft soils often requires separation of the fill materials from the soft subsoil. Geotextiles prevent the mixing of fill and subsoil reducing the amount of fill required and extending the expected life of a road. Geotextiles can also provide a tensile element in soil structures which can provide reinforcement.  Geotextiles, particularly high strength geotextiles are becoming more popular on road and embankment construction and tailings pond caps. On large projects Layfield can provide design assistance for base reinforcement applications. Please contact your local representative for more details.

"We do appreciate you coming all this way to see us. We get other supplies just showing up and considering we have 50 construction people to supervise we don't have time for them. You did it right by setting it up in advance and letting us know your takeaways. This made for beneficial use of our time." Matthew, Civil & Commercial Construction Company
