Soil and Sludge Consolidation

Layfield provides a variety of soil and sludge consolidation solutions. Geotube® dewatering tubes are Layfield’s featured solution for sludge dewatering. The tubes are filled with sludge and the water flows out through the fabric walls under gravity. Within a short period the sludge has shed most of its water and can be disposed of as a solid and not as an expensive liquid. Vertical wick drains are a good solution for soil consolidation. The wick drains in conjunction with a preload, provide a path for water saturated areas to speed up settlement.  Call your Layfield office for more information.
