Layfield Coronavirus Update 2020

Coronavirus Update

March 17, 2020

To Our Customers,

As the implications of COVID-19 continue to evolve, we want to assure you that the health and safety of our employees and our customers is our number one priority.

Like many other companies in Canada and around the world, we’re monitoring the situation very closely and have contingency plans in place to manage our business should the situation further escalate. Currently, we are operating at full capacity and we are focused on protecting our manufacturing plants in order to limit any risk to your supply chain.

As a precautionary measure, we’ve asked all Layfield employees to stay home if they are feeling unwell for any reason. We’ve increased cleaning and disinfecting protocols in all our offices to keep workplaces as clean and sanitary as possible for employees and customers. In all our production areas, we have added additional safety measures by implementing pre-shift temperature checks and all employees will be supplied gloves and masks.

We have also cancelled all non-essential employee business travel and all on-site meetings with external suppliers. In addition, we have implemented a 14-day self-isolation for employees who have returned from travelling.

Because the situation is complex and evolving rapidly, our plans may change. If they do, we will let you know. These are trying times for all, and we thank you for your continued support.
